Genau hinsehen! Auch kleine Plastinate zeigen interessante Details
Dieses Hamsterplastinat ist ein mit eher geringem Aufwand plasinierter Längsschnitt. Gliedmaßen und Körperkonturen sind nur ansatzweise erkennbar. Auf den ersten Blick erscheint das Stück wenig spektakulär. Beim genauen Hinsehen sind aber die Nervenabgänge der Spinalnerven, sowohl im Hals- auch als im Lendenbereich, gut sichtbar. Ein Beispiel, dass auch einfache Plastinate verblüffende Einblicke ermöglichen.

Prices for sheet plastinates from HC Biovision
The price of a sheet plastinate depends on the:
1. type of plastination. Sheet plastinates in acrylic embedding are of the highest value, followed by normal flat chamber "Sheets". The so called sandwich sheet plastinates are of the simplest quality. They are offered only on special request.
2. size of the specimen. Prices correlate with the size in square inch/cm.
3. preparation details, visibility of structures, presence of rare anatomical findings, etc.
Size (2.) and preparation details (3.) influence the size equivalent (SE).
The following list gives you an impression of the prices for plastinates from HC Biovision in acrylic embedding and for sheets depending on the size equivalent (excl. VAT).
Sheet plastinates that show a complete animal section like this budgerigar plastinate in acrylic embedding are often estimated one SE higher than there actual size would tell. A bird plastinate like this might have the dimensions 20 x 15 cm and would still be priced SE 30 (appr. 30 x 20cm / 35cm diagonal).
